The client needed a mobile app to help post-surgical patients safely manage opioid medications and allow physicians to monitor patient progress, helping reduce the risk of opioid dependence.

The app was built using cross-platform frameworks for mobile and desktop, with real-time data sharing between patients and physicians. It included medication tracking, pain reporting, and location-based services to find nearby opioid return sites.

Challenges:

The app needed to be user-friendly for patients recovering from surgery while offering comprehensive data tracking and real-time alerts for doctors. Additionally, the solution had to comply with HIPAA regulations.

A technical project manager (TPM) tracked technical requirements and ensured that the project was on time and within budget. Our senior quality assurance (QA) engineer designed and implemented the quality assurance process.

Results:
