Business Requirement:
The client is a Pacific Northwest publishing company that serves as the exclusive publisher of a specific set of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards. The client needed a modern cloud-based CRM solution to replace their manual legacy system for managing subscriptions and events. The new system had to support complex member relationships and data collection.
Business Solution:
AccelOne designed and implemented a Salesforce-based solution that streamlined the subscription and event management process, improving efficiency and data management.
The data published by the client is used globally across all major industries including, healthcare, insurance, transportation, and security, and the client is the only company in the world which licenses and publishes these standards.
The goal of this new solution was to increase the efficiency of their subscription process, improve and leverage their event management process, and collect valuable data on their clients’ behavior, which could be applied to other aspects of the business such as sales and marketing.
Technical Solution:
The team integrated Salesforce CRM with the client’s existing systems, using Trello for Agile project management and Cucumber Studio for test case documentation.
PROOF OF CONCEPT
After doing an in-depth analysis of the business processes and requirements of the client, AccelOne concluded that the Salesforce cloud was the best option to accommodate for all of the complexities.
The Proof of Concept was completed in three weeks and accepted by the client, who decided to move forward with Salesforce as the platform of choice for their entire subscription management system.
Challenges:
The primary challenge was accommodating the client’s complex member relationships within Salesforce while ensuring seamless data migration from the legacy system.
Approach:
AccelOne conducted a Salesforce Complexities Audit to provide a proof of concept, then developed the full system using an Agile methodology with a blended US-Argentina (on-shore and nearshore) team.
This blended team (on-shore and nearshore) model allowed the client to reduce the cost of configuration and development while keeping a Seattle-based team leader who could meet face-to-face with project stakeholders.
The final team assembly included:
Senior Salesforce Architect – Seattle, WA
Senior Salesforce Business Analyst – Buenos Aires, Argentina
Senior Salesforce Developer – Buenos Aires, Argentina
Results
The client successfully transitioned to a fully integrated Salesforce solution, which streamlined their subscription processes and improved event management capabilities.
AccelOne’s Salesforce integration delivered a scalable, efficient solution that enhanced the client’s ability to manage subscriptions and collect valuable data.
