Replacing Manual Reporting with Real-Time Data
XL Construction relied on a manual, file-based workflow centered on Microsoft Excel to create and update its Project Status Reports (PSRs). The process moved across Excel, Microsoft SQL Server, Egnyte, and DocuSign, resulting in inconsistent data, outdated reports, and frequent errors.
This fragmented workflow consumed valuable time, caused synchronization issues between tools, and reduced executive confidence in the data used to make funding, staffing, and project timeline decisions.
XL Construction needed a centralized, automated solution to improve data accuracy, provide real-time visibility, and support continued growth.

AccelOne designed and implemented a new web-based PSR platform to replace the manual workflow end-to-end. The new system was built to:

A Focused Three-Month Engagement
A dedicated team of front-end and back-end developers, a QA automation specialist, and a project manager delivered the platform within a focused three-month timeline.
Design and Development
The team first designed the front-end interface, planning each section before development began. Development then progressed across parallel tracks, including OKTA authentication and SQL Server database setup on the back end, mathematical calculations on the front end, and early QA testing.
Integration, Testing, and Deployment
In the final phase, the team integrated the front-end and back-end components, completed QA automation, and deployed the platform to a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment for final validation. Separate Development and Stage environments supported a controlled and systematic testing process throughout the engagement.
